Snahy o mírovou dohodu, ale také boje mezi USA a Íránem vytlačily palestinskou realitu z titulních stran, válka ale nikam nezmizela. Boje v Gaze alespoň na papíře skončily v říjnu, počty obětí ale dál rostou a izraelská armáda namísto stažení se rozšiřuje kontrolu nad palestinským územím.

Když Donald Trump vloni na podzim vítězoslavně oznamoval dohodu o příměří, která měla utrpení tamních obyvatel zastavit, sliboval finální řešení dekády trvajícího konfliktu, prosperitu pro zničené území i novou vládu bez Hamásu, který složí své zbraně a předá kontrolu.

Ani jedno se ale dosud nestalo . Údery pokračují a Hamás se odzbrojit ani odstavit od vlády zdaleka nepodařilo. Žádný mechanismus pro vynucování příměří v Pásmu Gazy přitom neexistuje.

Jen včera izraelský útok podle tamních zdravotníků v centrální části Gazy zabil nejméně dva Palestince, bratry Ahmeda a Mahmúda. Během deklarovaného příměří, které je pravidelně porušováno, izraelské údery zabily už bezmála tisíc lidí. Tel Aviv za stejnou dobu hlásí ztrátu čtyř vojáků.
