Twelve new startups presented their ideas to the judges, and the winner was the Fire Drone.

At the Demo Day event held at Zagreb's BIRD Incubator, twelve startup teams presented their ideas to a jury, investors, and partners. The winning team was Vatro-dron, which develops a fire-resistant drone capable of providing autonomous firefighting assistance and logistical support in hard-to-reach areas. The team emphasized the challenges of aligning their product with real-world needs of firefighters and emergency services. Other notable teams included Sumato, developing smart home retrofit technology, and CargoGO, a digital marketplace connecting companies with available freight capacity.

U zagrebačkom BIRD Incubatoru održan je Demo Day, završni događaj sedmotjednog predinkubacijskog programa namijenjenog startupima u idejnoj fazi razvoja, na kojem je 12 startup timova predstavilo svoje projekte pred žirijem, investitorima i partnerima . Pobjedu je odnio Vatro-dron, platforma koja razvija dron otporan na visoku toplinu i vatru, sposoban pružati autonomnu pomoć u gašenju požara i logističku podršku na teško dostupnim i opasnim lokacijama.

'Najveći izazov bio je potvrditi da razvijamo rješenje koje odgovara stvarnim potrebama vatrogasaca i hitnih službi te pretočiti tu ideju u opipljiv proizvod. No, pravi izazovi tek su pred nama, na jesen krećemo s inkubacijskim programom, na koji planiramo doći s u potpunosti funkcionalnim i testiranim MVP-om', izjavio je Antun Matijašec , osnivač Vatro-drona.

Stručni žiri odabrao je i preostala dva najbolja tima pa je tako drugo mjesto osvojio Sumato, koji razvija retrofit tehnologiju za pametni dom koja nadograđuje postojeće prekidače i utičnice bez potrebe za ponovnim ožičenjem, dok je treće mjesto pripalo platformi CargoGO, digitalnom tržištu koje, poput BlaBlaCara za teret, povezuje tvrtke s dostupnim transportnim kapacitetima i pomaže im smanjiti logističke troškove.

Pobjednički tim Vatro-drona osvojio je izravan ulazak u BIRD-ov inkubacijski program vrijedan 30.000 eura, punu stipendiju za program ABC BootCamps te pokrivene administrativne troškove od 350 eura. Drugoplasirani Sumato i trećeplasirani CargoGO osvojili su stipendije za ABC BootCamps koje pokrivaju 50, odnosno 30 posto školarine.

Žiri su činili Ante Bilić (SQ Capital), Monika Mikac (NVision), Marina Mainčič iz Kaufland Hrvatska, Sandro Sertić (ABC BootCamps) te Sven Harjaček iz BIRD Incubatora.

Predinkubacijski program traje sedam tjedana i namijenjen je timovima u najranijoj, idejnoj fazi razvoja, a uključuje radionice, mentorski rad i pripremu za predstavljanje investitorima. Demo Day označio je završetak ovogodišnjeg ciklusa te priliku timovima da svoja rješenja predstave široj startup zajednici.

Prijave za inkubacijski program otvaraju se u kolovozu 2026.
