Most Jewish students in Canada reported experiencing antisemitism on campus, according to a government-commissioned survey of 900 Jewish post-secondary students. Jedwab also called upon federal authorities and university administrators to take immediate steps to ensure safer environments for Jewish students. The survey was commissioned by the federal government before the Carney administration ended the position of special envoy on antisemitism. The last individual to hold that role initiated the study, aiming to gather insights into the lived experiences of Jewish students.
