Decathlon Singapore has decided to extend its Circular Bazaar, a second-hand bicycle event that initially took place on July 4 and 5, due to high interest and participation. The extended event will take place on July 11 and 12 at the same locations: Decathlon Singapore Lab in Kallang and Decathlon Northshore Plaza in Punggol. This decision follows the success of the initial event, which attracted a significant number of visitors and saw a large volume of bicycle trade-ins.
During the first weekend of the Circular Bazaar, which ran from July 4 to 5, approximately 20,000 visitors attended the Decathlon Singapore Lab location while around 13,000 visited the Northshore Plaza site. Over the course of the past three weeks, the company reported that more than 900 bicycles had been collected through its buy-back program, with 680 of these being acquired specifically at the two Circular Bazaar venues.
For the extended event, Decathlon Singapore has introduced improved trade-in incentives. Customers bringing in used Decathlon adult bicycles between July 8 and 12 will receive an extra 20 percent on top of the standard buy-back value, increasing from the 10 percent bonus previously available. Similarly, individuals trading in used Decathlon children's bicycles will still receive an additional 10 percent buy-back value. Additionally, Decathlon Singapore Lab will accept trade-ins for carbon-frame bicycles, allowing customers to exchange them for a new Van Rysel bicycle.
The event also features second-hand bicycles from several partner brands, including Unspokin, Bike Buddy, Cycle Dome, and Certify Cycle. These options provide shoppers with a variety of choices when looking for affordable, pre-owned cycling equipment. Furthermore, attendees have the opportunity to participate in a lucky draw for prizes such as merchandise and tickets to the Tour de France Prudential Singapore Criterium, scheduled for November 7 and 8.
The initiative aligns with Decathlon's broader sustainability goals, promoting recycling and reducing waste by encouraging consumers to trade in their old bicycles for credit towards new purchases. This approach not only helps reduce environmental impact but also allows customers to access quality products at reduced costs. The company has previously organized similar events, such as one in October 2025 at its Kallang outlet, where participants could trade in items like weights, scooters, skateboards, and winter apparel.
The extension of the Circular Bazaar reflects the growing consumer interest in sustainable shopping practices and the demand for affordable, eco-friendly alternatives. As the event continues into the second weekend, it is anticipated that more cyclists will benefit from the trade-in opportunities and the availability of second-hand bicycles from multiple brands. Decathlon Singapore remains committed to supporting environmentally conscious consumers while offering them practical solutions for acquiring new cycling gear without compromising on quality or affordability.
