Free screenings will occur daily from 1 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., with entry on a first-come, first-served basis. Each day will showcase a different film, beginning with the 2023 Italian comedy drama C'è Ancora Domani (There's Still Tomorrow). According to Gualtieri, the goal is to allow people to spend time indoors watching movies, especially since many households lack air conditioning. Temperatures in Rome have been rising sharply, with forecasts indicating peaks of 36 degrees Celsius (97 degrees Fahrenheit) on Wednesday, July 22, and 35 degrees Celsius on both Thursday and Friday, July 23 and 24. These conditions have prompted authorities to implement measures aimed at protecting citizens from the extreme heat. The cinema initiative is one such effort, designed to provide a comfortable space for people to gather and stay cool.
