Olajide Esan, representing the AAC, took to the stage alone and delivered a speech outlining his ambitions for governing the state. He addressed the gathered audience before the crowd gradually dispersed. Following the cancellation, Esan issued a strong response criticising the other candidates for their absence. He accused the APC, ADC, and Accord Party candidates of intentionally boycotting the debate. According to Esan, such a refusal to engage in a public forum reflects poorly on their readiness to lead.
