Polestar has announced the launch of a new variant of its popular Polestar 4 model, transitioning it into a SUV format while retaining the technical specifications of the current coupe version. The new SUV variant is designed to offer greater space and versatility, catering to a broader range of customer preferences. Production has already begun at the Busan plant in South Korea, with the first deliveries expected during the fourth quarter of 2026. The redesign focuses primarily on the rear section, featuring a more horizontal roofline and a vertical tailgate. The Dual Motor all-wheel-drive version delivers a more powerful output of 544 horsepower, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds, with a range of up to 600 kilometers. Both variants feature a 100 kWh battery pack capable of fast charging up to 200 kW using direct current. Additional features include the Vehicle-to-Load function, allowing the vehicle to supply power to external devices at a rate of up to 3.3 kilowatts. Integration with Google Gemini enhances the onboard system, providing advanced capabilities for drivers. Pricing starts at €55,900 for the Rear Motor model and increases to €62,900 for the Dual Motor variant. A performance-enhanced version, equipped with the Performance Pack, is priced at €73,900. The transition from coupe to SUV marks a strategic move by Polestar to expand its market reach and appeal to consumers seeking more practicality without compromising on design or performance.
