SerbiaMiroslav Stojanović from Supska, near Ćuprija, returned to his hometown after working in Switzerland for four decades and now raises hundreds of alpacas on his family estate. Alpacas naturally originate from South America but have become domesticated in the Pomoravlje region. Alongside alpacas, he also keeps llamas, wild boars, deer, and camels. Stojanović describes alpacas as calm animals capable of absorbing negative energy and radiating positive energy, which helps him relax during stressful times. Feeding and caring for over 100 alpacas and dozens of other animal species requires significant effort, with Stojanović and his wife spending at least four hours daily tending to them. The couple recently welcomed new alpaca offspring, including an albino calf with blue eyes and red skin. They aim to establish a zoo-like facility where people can interact with the animals. Stojanović hopes to collaborate with a friend in Dimitrovgrad to process the high-quality alpaca wool, which is considered the finest in the world.
