Abheesh draws heavily from the research of author and historian Vinil Paul, whose book Manjadikkari: Olichottathinte Vimochana Daivashastram provides critical insight into the region’s past. According to the text, two enslaved individuals escaped along the river, seeking freedom from the trauma of their experiences. Their journey symbolizes both survival and transformation, as they built a life in a place they could claim as their own.
