He was detained under suspicion of causing death through negligent, reckless, or dangerous actions. Following an initial period of custody, he appeared before Paphos District Court, where he was granted conditional release on strict terms. These include surrendering his passport, reporting weekly to police, providing his current address, and remaining within the country. His next court appearance is scheduled for July 31. The man, who was accompanied by his parents, had to pay €20,000 (£17,000) for his release. His wife and in-laws were absent from the proceedings.
