Slovenian singer Andrej Šifrer had to cut short his concert on Friday due to unexpected health issues during the Poletje na placu festival in Šempetron near Gorica. The event, which was part of a local summer celebration, saw Šifrer take the stage, but he abruptly ended his performance after feeling unwell. His team later revealed that the exact cause of his sudden discomfort remains unknown, though he is still undergoing medical examinations. The incident occurred just days before Šifrer shared more details with the public. Through the Facebook page of the Šempeter-Vrtojba Youth and Technology Club, he posted a message explaining how the evening unfolded. He described arriving at the town square with genuine excitement, eager to share music with friends and fans in Šempetron. However, during his performance, he suddenly felt unwell and had no choice but to stop. “I can tell you honestly that this was really difficult and unpleasant,” he wrote, expressing his regret over having to disappoint the audience. Despite the abrupt end to his set, Šifrer has remained positive and grateful. He emphasized that he is still receiving medical attention and does not yet have a clear understanding of what caused his condition. “I am still undergoing medical tests, so I don’t know exactly what happened,” he explained. He thanked the organizers for their understanding and expressed appreciation for the patience and support of the attendees. “It’s in moments like these that you truly feel how many good people surround you,” he added. Although Šifrer currently hopes for a quick recovery, he has not forgotten the fans who attended the concert. He promised that once he feels well enough, he will find a way to repay them. “Music has always been my way of thanking people, and I believe it will be again,” he wrote. He looks forward to the day when he can return to the stage and perform for his supporters.
