He reiterated his belief that Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin have mutual animosity, complicating efforts to resolve the war. "I’m not a big fan of Zelensky," Trump said. "I think they actually both would like to see it end, but I think I find Zelensky to be more difficult to deal with than Putin." While Trump pressed Kyiv to cease attacks on Russian refineries, Ukraine reportedly faced challenges in using a satellite system critical for battlefield communications and drone operations. According to two U.S. officials and one Western official familiar with the situation, the directive to limit the system’s use originated from within the White House, though the specific individuals responsible for the decision were not identified. Zelensky expressed disappointment over Trump’s agreement with Moscow to allow Russia to deliver over 300,000 tons of diesel to the American and global markets in exchange for eased sanctions. "It’s a shame that we’re losing a strong partner," Zelensky told British journalist Piers Morgan. He also lamented shortcomings in intelligence sharing and internet restrictions, which he claimed hindered Ukrainian drone operations. Ukraine heavily relies on U.S. support, including intelligence data for air defense and satellite internet services like Starlink. Recent Russian drone attacks targeted areas near Poland, leaving 370,000 people without electricity and injuring two individuals. In central Ukraine, five people were injured when drones struck a residential building in Uman.
