CLS: Beograd izgubio spor sa prevoznikom Arriva Litas, građane to dnevno košta 300.000 dinara

The Center for Local Self-Governance (CLS) has reported that Belgrade citizens are paying a daily interest rate of approximately 300,000 dinars, or around 10 million dinars monthly, due to the city's failure to execute a court ruling requiring it to settle outstanding debts with the transportation consortium 'Arriva Litas'. The consortium, which includes 19 transport companies—some of which still operate today—won the case against the city for non-compliance with the contract. CLS criticized the city's leadership for creating new debt daily through non-execution of the ruling, calling it a form of extreme irresponsibility. They also advocated for officials to personally compensate for any damage caused to the budget and public finances using their private assets.
