In the latest episode of The Pinnick Tapes (Remastered): NFF Scandals Exposed, Pinnick outlined how the two multinational firms ended their commercial ties with Nigerian football, citing an incident involving three Nigerians that reportedly prompted them to blacklist the nation. Pinnick described his initial surprise at receiving a notice from Adidas shortly after he assumed the role of NFF president. He traveled to Zurich to meet the company's leadership in hopes of persuading them to stay. However, his attempts proved futile, and he later learned that multiple factors contributed to the decision. While he refrained from disclosing specific details, he emphasized that the situation was complex and involved sensitive matters. The sponsorship crisis intensified as other major brands also began withdrawing support.
