This tool allows users to confirm whether a charity is current and compliant with all necessary regulations. Delaney also addressed concerns regarding unsolicited leaflets distributed in residential areas seeking donations. While the regulator investigates each instance, she noted that the language used in such materials is often designed to obscure the identity of the organization behind them. As a result, it becomes challenging to gather sufficient evidence for legal action against those falsely presenting themselves as charities. In response to the growing challenges faced by the regulator, Delaney encouraged both new and established charities to consider collaboration opportunities. These might include formal mergers or informal partnerships aimed at sharing resources and responsibilities. Such measures, she argued, could enhance efficiency and reduce the administrative burden on individual organizations.
