Nirmal Purja, known globally for his extraordinary achievements in mountaineering, had previously set a record by completing the ascent of the 14 highest peaks over 8,000 meters within 190 days in 2019. This feat surpassed the previous world record held by South Korean climber Kim Chang-ho. His journey was documented in the Netflix production The 14 Eight-Thousanders: Nothing Is Impossible, which focused on the so-called “Project Possible.” In 2023, Norwegian climber Kristin Harila broke Purja’s record by achieving the same goal in just 93 days.
