A Croatian influencer known for her role in the reality show Sanjski moški has publicly addressed an incident that occurred earlier this summer in Dubrovnik, describing her actions on video footage as unrecognizable to herself. Laura Prgomet, who gained widespread recognition through the show, has issued a detailed statement following the July event, which sparked significant public reaction after videos of her behavior circulated online. According to local police reports, Prgomet was involved in a confrontation with officers during which she allegedly insulted them, resisted arrest, and damaged a police vehicle. She was subsequently detained and initially placed under investigative detention by a judge. The footage of the incident quickly spread across social media platforms, generating a wide range of responses from the public. In her response, Prgomet expressed deep distress upon viewing the videos for the first time. “When I first saw the footage of this event, I was shaken,” she wrote. “I looked at someone I almost couldn’t recognize.” She emphasized that the behavior visible in the recordings does not reflect her character, values, or lifestyle. Despite this, she acknowledged that her actions had caused discomfort and concern among those present, including law enforcement personnel who were merely performing their duties. She specifically apologized to the officer who directed harsh words toward her during the incident, expressing genuine regret over the situation they faced together. Prgomet admitted to the actions attributed to her and stated that she sincerely regrets the events that took place. If given the chance to turn back time, she said she would take all necessary steps to ensure that the past 24 hours never occurred. She explained that she was not in optimal physical and mental condition at the time of the incident and chose not to disclose further details about the circumstances leading up to it, stating that the appropriate authorities will determine the full context. “I deeply feel that the decisions I made at that time and my behavior did not reflect who I am as a person,” she clarified. She also responded to the numerous comments, videos, and posts shared on social media platforms regarding the incident. While acknowledging that her behavior had drawn public interest and that she must accept the consequences, she noted how the circulation and manipulation of the footage had affected her mental state. As a result, she sought professional psychological assistance. Observing the impact of the incident on her family and close friends was particularly difficult for her. “Whenever you see a person clearly in a psychological or physical breakdown, try to help them first,” she advised. “You never know what they’ve been through or what happened before.” She wants to share her experience as a warning to young women, urging them to be cautious about whom they trust, the company they keep, and the situations they find themselves in, as even one night can completely change their lives.
