Une amitié de 20 ans renouvelée

The towns of Škofja Loka in Slovenia and Tabor in the Czech Republic have renewed their 20-year friendship. The partnership began in 1999 through a photography exhibition by Tone Mlakar, which led to cultural exchanges between the two cities. Over time, cooperation expanded into education, music, dance, tourism, and social life. In 2006, then-mayors Igor Draksler of Škofja Loka and František Dědič of Tabor officially signed a partnership agreement. Recently, both communities celebrated this bond with events including the arrival of Czech athletes at the 'Tek štirih mostov' race and the first-ever visit of DJs from Tabor to Škofja Loka. Local leaders emphasized shared values such as community support and friendship, highlighting ongoing efforts to foster youth connections and build new success stories.
