Most of these are now preserved in museums and are not airworthy. The successful restoration of this particular example marks a rare achievement in preserving historical military aviation. The Sivrihisar Aviation Club Association, based in Turkey, has a long history of contributing to the preservation of aviation heritage. Their dedication resulted in a fully functional aircraft that can now be operated safely in the skies. Meanwhile, other incidents involving transportation infrastructure occurred in Germany. In Gelsenkirchen, a collision between two trams left several passengers injured. The crash, which happened on Kurt-Schumacher-Strasse near the Veltins-Arena stadium, resulted in 14 minor injuries, seven moderate injuries, and three severe cases requiring immediate medical attention. Emergency services were called to the scene shortly after 12:30 p.m. local time. Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the accident, though preliminary reports suggest that one of the trams was engaged in driver training before the collision occurred. Separately, authorities in Cologne discovered an unexploded World War II bomb along the Rhine River as water levels dropped to record lows. The bomb, believed to be of U.S. origin, was located in the Deutz district, close to the city’s main train station and cathedral.
