Fórsa members reject SNA development plan

The Fórsa trade union, representing Special Needs Assistants (SNAs), has rejected the Government's proposed SNA Workforce Development Plan in a member ballot. With a turnout of over 60%, 60.1% of voters opposed the plan while 39.3% supported it. The plan, developed by the Department of Education over two and a half years with input from Fórsa, aimed to professionalize SNAs through new guidelines, contracts, and training. Fórsa criticized the plan as lacking in key areas, despite prior consultations with members.
