The deadline for submitting applications for state incentives for purchasing electric vehicles has been moved from October 21st to October 28th at 9 AM due to additional testing of the electronic application system, according to the Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency. The fund has allocated 20 million euros for this year, expecting to co-finance the purchase of around 3,000 new vehicles. Citizens can receive up to 9,000 euros in incentives for electric cars valued up to 35,000 euros including VAT, while more expensive models up to 62,500 euros will not qualify. Incentives for electric scooters, motorcycles, and other light vehicles (category L1-L7) can reach up to 2,500 euros, provided their value does not exceed 35,000 euros including VAT. Applications must be submitted electronically via the eFZOEU system using NIAS credentials, and each citizen can claim incentives for only one vehicle. The program aims to accelerate the electrification of the vehicle fleet and reduce traffic emissions.
