His partner, who was securing the other end of the rope, did not appear to have properly secured him, according to initial findings by the officers. The fall was halted by the safety knot at the end of the rope, preventing a more severe injury. The guide provided immediate first aid before emergency services arrived. Climbing areas such as the Dalaas require climbers to follow strict safety protocols, including proper rope management and mutual support between climbers. In this case, the responsibility of securing the lead climber typically falls on the belayer, who must maintain tension on the rope to prevent a fall.
