In a now-deleted post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Green explained that the video was created under significant pressure and that he had used ChatGPT primarily for researching the script. However, he clarified that the specific line about “pushback” was actually a response from the episode's guest, not the AI. Following the backlash, Green issued a detailed apology on Reddit, expressing deep regret for disappointing his audience. He stated that he would reduce his video output as a consequence of the incident. Despite acknowledging the criticism, Green emphasized that he had used AI mainly to locate academic papers and other resources related to the topics he discusses. He maintained that the ideas and perspectives expressed in his videos remained his own. Green also addressed broader concerns regarding AI technology, highlighting issues such as its environmental impact and the rapid pace at which companies are consolidating economic power.
