On Sunday, a local resident reported seeing a large animal resembling Muschio near Villa Caruso, located in Lastra a Signa. This sighting reignited hope among the volunteers, prompting them to investigate the area further. However, the challenging landscape made this task difficult. A nearby homeowner initially mistook the animal for a smaller goat, leading to confusion. Nevertheless, the person who made the initial report confirmed that they had indeed seen a male goat with long horns, matching Muschio’s description. Despite this lead, subsequent checks in the area yielded no confirmation of the animal's presence. Further efforts have included distributing flyers and engaging with residents in the vicinity of Villa Caruso to gather more information. While some reports have emerged, none have conclusively identified Muschio. On Monday, another report came in from Signa, but after verification, it was determined not to be related to the missing goat. As a result, volunteers returned to the area around Villa Caruso to continue their search, reinforcing their commitment to locating Muschio before he becomes lost to the wild.
