Firefighters from Latisana, flood rescue teams, and divers from Venice’s helicopter unit “Drago” joined the search efforts. Additional support came from specialized diving units in Trieste and boats from nearby towns such as Portogruaro. Despite extensive searches, the man’s body was eventually located, though he had already succumbed to the cold and powerful waters. The child rescued by his father was taken by air ambulance to the hospital Santa Maria della Misericordia in Udine, where medical staff confirmed he was out of immediate danger.
