Según CAME, el Mundial y el aguinaldo impulsaron las ventas minoristas tras 13 meses de caída

According to a survey by the Argentine Confederation of Medium-Sized Enterprises (CAME), retail sales by small and medium businesses (PyMEs) grew by 0.9% year-on-year in June, ending more than a year of decline. This growth was attributed to the liquidity injection from the annual bonus (SAC) and the commercial activity generated by the World Cup. However, compared to May, there was a 1.3% drop in consumption, leading to a cumulative decrease of 2.5% in retail sales during the first half of 2026. The report highlights that while these factors temporarily boosted specific sectors, overall consumer spending remained constrained due to limited budgets and reliance on installment financing. Businesses face compressed margins, rising fixed costs, and increased competition from imported goods, prompting many to adopt a cautious financial stance and delay investment plans.
