Los Raiders fueron exhortados a cambiar a Maxx Crosby después de la pérdida de Ugly Rams

Las Vegas Raiders fans and analysts are calling for the immediate trade of star edge rusher Maxx Crosby following a lopsided defeat to the Los Angeles Rams. The Raiders fell 35 to 21 on Sunday at Allegiant Stadium, marking their fourth consecutive loss and dropping their record to 3 and 4. The collapse followed a promising start to the season, during which the team won its first three contests against the Miami Dolphins, Los Angeles Chargers, and New Orleans Saints. CBS Sports analyst Pete Prisco argued that the organization should prioritize acquiring future assets for Crosby ahead of the November 10 trade deadline. He noted that Crosby is a sought-after commodity and suggested the team leverage his value while rebuilding around young quarterback Fernando Mendoza, running back Ashton Jeanty, and wide receiver Brock Bowers. The Raiders were overwhelmed in the first half, surrendering four consecutive touchdown drives. This sequence allowed the Rams to build a 28 to 6 lead at halftime. Quarterback Kirk Cousins threw for 295 yards and two touchdowns, but the offense struggled to gain ground on the ground. Las Vegas managed only 48 total rushing yards on 17 attempts, averaging 2.8 yards per carry. The loss highlights the team's inability to sustain success against high-quality opponents, a trend that has persisted despite early wins. Maxx Crosby remains a critical component of the defensive unit, though his statistical output has declined significantly compared to the previous campaign. Through the first seven games of the 2025 season, he has recorded 18 combined tackles, two sacks, and one forced fumble. Last season, he posted 73 total tackles and 10 sacks in 15 games before suffering a meniscus injury. Crosby underwent knee surgery after playing through that ailment last year, but he has not yet returned to his prior elite level. He turned 29 years old in August, adding urgency to discussions regarding his market value. Trade interest in Crosby is not new. Earlier this year, the Raiders agreed to send him to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for two first-round draft picks. However, the deal collapsed at the final moment due to medical concerns raised during his physical examination. Recent reports link the Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bears to potential trades, as both teams seek additional defensive firepower for immediate playoff contention. The Jacksonville Jaguars and San Francisco 49ers have also been mentioned in previous speculation. A successful trade would allow the Raiders to bolster their draft capital, while providing a contender with a proven pass rusher. On the other side of the ball, the Rams used the victory to stabilize their season. Coach Sean McVay described the result as a good step in the right direction. The win snapped a two-game losing streak against the Buffalo Bills and Arizona Cardinals. Matthew Stafford continued his efficient performance, completing 23 of 29 passes for 195 yards. He added two touchdowns to tight end Davis Allen and one to wide receiver Puka Nacua. These scores moved Stafford past Roman Gabriel to become the franchise’s all-time leader in touchdown passes. He is also the first player in NFL history to lead two different franchises in that category, having recorded 282 with the Detroit Lions. Running backs Kyren Williams and Blake Corum shared the load effectively. Williams rushed for 99 yards and a score on 16 carries, while Corum gained 93 yards and a touchdown on 17 attempts. A 43-yard touchdown run by Corum was nullified by a penalty, keeping his total under 100 yards. Nacua, who was questionable to play due to a calf injury, caught eight passes for 68 yards, including an 11-yard scoring grab. The Rams avoided a late-game scare for the first time in five outings, ending the contest comfortably. The victory provides momentum for a Rams roster that entered the season as Super Bowl favorites. Several key players remain sidelined, including edge rusher Myles Garrett and tight end Terrance Ferguson, who are eligible to return from injured reserve. Cornerback Trent McDuffie, out with a groin injury, may also rejoin the lineup. Defensive lineman Kobie Turner faces at least three more weeks on the sidelines, potentially missing the pre-Thanksgiving match against the Green Bay Packers. Wide receiver Davante Adams is also expected to return eventually. With these additions looming, the Rams aim to replicate their Sunday performance against upcoming opponents, starting with the winless Chargers.
