Průzkum: Češi se blackoutu neobávají, jejich připravenost se po loňsku nezměnila

The article reports on a June 2024 Ipsos survey conducted for energy company Epet, revealing that Czech households remain largely unprepared for prolonged power outages despite a major blackout in July 2023 affecting around a million customers. While the frequency and duration of outages have slightly decreased compared to the previous year, preparedness among households has not improved significantly. Nearly 40% still lack sufficient water reserves for 24 hours, and only about 13% have backup energy sources. The main cause of the blackout was a faulty repair leading to a fallen cable on transmission line V411, confirmed by ČEPS and an international panel of experts. Although awareness of proper procedures during outages remains stable, many citizens still feel uncertain about their readiness.
