Nyomoz a rendőrség a Tiborcz-féle buszos cég egyik közbeszerzése ügyében

The Budapest Police have launched an investigation into a procurement process by GYSEV, a railway company majority-owned by the Hungarian state, where a consortium led by a company associated with István Tiborcz won after competitors were excluded. The procurement was intended for bus services to replace trains, with a budget of 1.2 billion forints. According to reports, three companies bid, but two were invalidated during the process, leaving Pannon Busz-Rent and Infinitours as winners. Pannon Busz-Rent is partially owned by Waberer’s, which is controlled by Tiborcz. After the change in government, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure prohibited MÁV from signing contracts beyond 2027, affecting this procurement. GYSEV reportedly received information suggesting irregularities in the process, including possible collusion between the winning companies and former MÁV SZK leadership. The ministry has filed a report based on these findings.
