Another instrument will monitor supernovae outside our Milky Way galaxy. The brightness of certain types of supernovae is consistent, making them useful tools for measuring distances between Earth and these cosmic events. The Roman Space Telescope represents a significant advancement in observational technology, combining powerful imaging capabilities with efficient data collection methods.
