Huawei unveiled its latest lineup of mobile innovations during a special event in Munich titled "Chase the Wild." The focus of the presentation was on new smartwatches, including the sports-oriented HUAWEI WATCH GT7 and the newly introduced HUAWEI WATCH 6 series, along with the minimalist HUAWEI FreeBuds Neo wireless earbuds. The event, part of Huawei's annual fall product launch, brought together technology enthusiasts and media representatives to showcase the company’s latest wearable devices and audio products. The theme of the event emphasized the integration of technology with sports and health, aligning with the slogan "Chase the Wild." The highlight of the event was the introduction of the HUAWEI WATCH GT7 series, which includes models with screen diagonals of 41 mm and 46 mm, as well as the premium HUAWEI WATCH GT7 Pro with a 46 mm diagonal. The design of these watches is similar to last year’s models but features several new color options and key hardware and software upgrades. The 41 mm version has a 1.32-inch AMOLED display, while both the 46 mm and the GT7 Pro have larger 1.47-inch AMOLED panels capable of reaching a maximum brightness of 3,000 nits. The GT7 uses stainless steel casing paired with a composite back reinforced with fiber, whereas the GT7 Pro features titanium casing and a rear panel made of nano-crystalline ceramic. Battery life is a notable improvement, with the 41 mm GT7 lasting up to 14 days on a single charge under light usage. Both the 46 mm GT7 and the GT7 Pro can last even longer, up to 21 days between charges. All the presented watches support contactless payments. They come equipped with optical sensors for heart rate monitoring and temperature sensors, with the GT7 Pro additionally featuring an ECG function. Huawei also introduced new sports modes for training and expanded health tracking features, including automatic recognition of winter sports such as skiing and snowboarding, regardless of GPS signals. The company integrated maps for over 3,000 ski resorts worldwide and added cycling features like automatic turn detection and elevation planning. In addition to the GT7 series, Huawei launched the HUAWEI WATCH 6 series, which features a refined redesign with a more flat aesthetic. This series introduces a holistic health management system powered by AI, linking multiple separate sports activities into a cohesive analysis. The collection includes two versions of the HUAWEI WATCH 6: one with an aluminum case and a 42 mm diagonal, and another with a stainless steel case and a 46 mm diagonal. There is also the HUAWEI WATCH 6 Pro, available in 43 mm and 46 mm sizes, constructed with ceramic or titanium cases and ceramic bezels. These watches include an upgraded touch module called X-tap 2.0 and offer a wide range of health tracking options, simultaneous connectivity to two separate devices, and several new watch faces. Battery life varies depending on the model and usage mode, ranging from four and a half to 11 days. The HUAWEI WATCH 6 Pro offers a maximum screen brightness of 3,500 nits, while the standard WATCH 6 provides 3,000 nits. In the field of health technology, Huawei introduced the new generation of HUAWEI WATCH D3, designed specifically for blood pressure monitoring. The D3 combines standard smartwatch functions with medical-grade capabilities for measuring blood pressure using a mechanical wristband with an air cushion. This feature allows users to monitor their blood pressure levels with accuracy comparable to traditional medical devices. Alongside the smartwatches, Huawei also launched the HUAWEI FreeBuds Neo wireless earbuds. These minimalist earbuds feature noise cancellation and come in a redesigned housing with a compact stabilizer. They offer call transfer functionality and enhanced performance with the ability to switch between apps and songs using customizable gestures within the app. Compatible with Android, iOS, and Huawei’s HarmonyOS, the FreeBuds Neo will be available in four colors: Stellar Silver, Nebula Pink, Ice White, and Starry Black.
