Maratón de controles de la ANPC: los comisarios han impuesto más de 800 multas por valor de más de 4,1 millones de leones

The National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) in Romania reported that during June 29–July 3, inspectors conducted over 1,500 checks on economic operators. As a result, 871 administrative fines totaling over 4.1 million lei were issued, along with 693 warnings. Products worth over 5.3 million lei were tested, while more than 171,000 lei worth of non-compliant products were permanently banned from sale, and over 114,000 lei worth were temporarily suspended. Additionally, 21 operators had their services suspended until they corrected deficiencies. The main violations included frozen product accumulations causing freezer burns, lack of identification on food items, worn-out equipment with ice buildup and rust, spoiled plant-based products with mold traces, poor hygiene conditions in food preparation areas, expired products, improper storage temperatures, and the use of thermally degraded cooking oil.
