Condena de dos años de cárcel para la enfermera de La Paz que falsificó 4.386 certificados de vacunación COVID

Two nurses from Madrid’s La Paz hospital and four other individuals have accepted prison sentences ranging from one to two years for participating in a scheme that forged up to 4,386 COVID vaccination certificates in just three months during the pandemic. The group used login credentials of various nurses at the hospital to manipulate the Unified Vaccination Register and charged between €60 and €100 per person to falsely mark them as vaccinated. Among those falsely listed were celebrities like singer Omar Montes. The operation, dubbed 'Jenner,' was uncovered by the National Police in late January 2022 and led to an extensive investigation. Initial reports indicated around 1,600 illegal entries, but the number grew significantly over time. Despite the scale, only six individuals faced trial, and all pleaded guilty to the charges. They received prison terms of one year and one month along with fines, though they are expected to avoid incarceration due to the leniency of the sentence.
