On the night of November 13, 2022, she was tragically murdered along with three others in their off-campus rental home on King Road in Moscow, Idaho. Her roommate, Madison Mogen, and fellow residents Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin were also killed in the brutal attack. The victims were all students at the university, and their deaths sent shockwaves through the campus and beyond. Madison Mogen, 21, was Kaylee’s lifelong best friend, known for her dedication to her studies and her role as a social media manager for a local restaurant.
