"Mejor partido en la Juve": Woltemade gana y se hace el ridículo

Juventus Turin's Nick Woltemade scored his second goal of the season in the Europa League match against Celta Vigo on October 15, 2026. The goal came in the 58th minute, leveling the score at 1-1 after Hugo Álvarez had put Celta Vigo ahead in the 18th minute. Woltemade described the performance as his best for Juventus so far, though he acknowledged there is room for improvement. Randal Kolo Muani, Woltemade’s French teammate, scored the winning goal in the second minute of added time. Woltemade, who joined Juventus on loan from Newcastle United this summer, has yet to score in Serie A, having been substituted into matches five times so far. His performance in the Europa League has drawn positive attention, with Italian media noting signs of improvement following a difficult start to the season. Woltemade emphasized the importance of teamwork, particularly highlighting the effectiveness of playing alongside Kolo Muani. He noted that having two strikers makes it harder for defenders to mark them both effectively. However, he deferred to the coaching staff’s decisions regarding team strategy. The "Gazzetta dello Sport" criticized Woltemade’s approach earlier in the season, comparing his attempts to play as a central striker to someone trying to wear an old wedding suit. Despite this, the newspaper acknowledged the precision of his goal against Celta Vigo, describing it as hitting the lower corner accurately. Woltemade will have another opportunity to make an impact in Serie A when Juventus faces Lazio Rome later this Sunday. The match is scheduled for 20:45 local time and will be broadcast on DAZN.
