Dozens of people evacuated from Bihor asylums without papers, health insurance and medical history

The Romanian National Agency for Social Assistance and Child Protection (DGASPC) Sibiu reported that 21 individuals relocated from homes in Bihor were transferred to local social services, many lacking medical documents, health insurance, or identification. Five are hospitalized for medical evaluations and treatment. The process was complicated by the lack of proper documentation, with most having only provisional ID cards or bank cards. Authorities have requested special procedures for such urgent cases, as current legislation does not cover these situations. One man died after being transferred to a center in Mures County, and 15 others remain under medical supervision. Relatives have not contacted authorities to take in those hospitalized. A criminal investigation into the operation of the homes continues, with prosecutors alleging exploitation of vulnerable individuals.
