Varazdin: "It was beyond our optimistic forecasts"

The 28th edition of the ten-day Špancirfest music festival in Varaždin concluded with a concert by the band Silente. According to data from the City Tourist Board, attendance during the first two weekends was record-breaking, with nearly all accommodation capacities filled. Director of the Tourist Board, Jelena Toth, expressed satisfaction with the event despite some challenges with the weather. She noted that several programs exceeded their optimistic expectations in terms of attendance. The festival featured nearly 600 different activities across 23 zones in the historic core of the city, including over 200 musical performances. Notable acts included Kosheen, Dubioza Kolektiv, Plavi Orkestar, Zabranjeno Pušenje, and Doris Dragović, who performed for the first time at the festival. New festival areas such as Kooglach and Dolce Vita were well-received by attendees.
