A 72-year-old man from Petrinjski area has been formally charged with multiple criminal offenses after allegedly capturing a fox and using his dogs to attack it, according to police reports. The charges against the man include unlawful possession, manufacture, and acquisition of firearms and explosive materials, as well as cruelty to animals. Police allege that he captured a fox and repeatedly used his two dogs to harass the animal. One of the dogs reportedly killed the fox, and the entire sequence was filmed and posted on social media platforms. During a court-ordered inspection of the suspect’s residence and other premises he uses, law enforcement officials uncovered several prohibited items. These included five hand grenades, one footmine, four fuse units for footmines, three detonator caps, one grenade launcher, and seven meters of slow-burning fuses. All these items were found to be illegally possessed by the accused. The man has been placed under formal custody by the Sisak-Moslavačka police station and is currently in pre-trial detention.
