Volkswagen has revealed prices in Germany for the hybrid Golf and T-Roc

Volkswagen has launched pricing for its new full hybrid powertrain in Germany, offering versions of the Golf and T-Roc models equipped with the system. The hybrid technology provides a power output of 125 kW (170 horsepower) and eliminates the need for external charging infrastructure, as the battery charges during driving through regenerative braking and a combination of the internal combustion engine with a generator. This marks a key advancement in the company’s strategy toward more sustainable mobility solutions. The new full hybrid system offers improved fuel efficiency compared to the mild hybrid version, reducing fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions by up to 10 to 15 percent. In city driving conditions, the difference can reach as high as 35 percent. The system generates a maximum torque of 309 Newton-meters and achieves a 0-to-100 km/h acceleration time of 7.5 seconds. It operates in three modes: pure electric drive at low speeds, series mode where the gasoline engine powers the electric motor via a generator, and parallel mode at higher speeds, where the electric motor acts as an assist. Drivers can choose between eco, comfort, and sport driving profiles. Pricing for the new hybrid models starts at 41,400 euros for the Golf Hybrid in R-Line trim, while the T-Roc Hybrid in Style trim begins at 44,470 euros. Volkswagen has announced plans to introduce an additional performance level of the same hybrid system soon. These models are expected to become available in Croatia within the coming weeks. The introduction of these hybrid variants reflects Volkswagen's broader commitment to electrification and sustainability. As part of its transition towards zero-emission vehicles, the company continues to expand its hybrid offerings alongside fully electric models.
