The restriction on left turns from Zagrebačka Avenue to Selska Street and vice versa was introduced on July 15, 2026, as part of a larger reconstruction project aimed at improving road safety and flow. According to city officials, drivers who wish to proceed through the intersection should either go straight or turn right, with alternative routes available via a partial circular route near the overpass. Temporary signage was installed to guide motorists, yet numerous videos captured on August 17, 2026, show vehicles attempting to make illegal left turns, creating congestion and confusion. One such video, shared on the Facebook page Prometne zgode i nezgode, shows a long queue of cars waiting to turn left onto Zagrebačka Avenue from Selska Street. One commenter suggested that the footage should be sent directly to the police, estimating potential fines could reach several hundred euros.
