The public tourism, culture, and sports office in Ormož successfully secured funding through a public call for proposals for a project aimed at developing new, comprehensive, and authentic tourist experiences in Ormož Castle and Park. The Ministry of Economy, Employment, and Sports approved 208,623.03 euros in non-repayable funds, which fully covers the project’s costs. The total value of the operation including VAT amounts to 254,520.10 euros. The Ormož office received the highest possible score of 100 points based on quality criteria, contribution to Slovenia’s Tourism Strategy 2022–2028, improvement of the business environment, and feasibility. With the regional criterion, they achieved 105 out of 105 points. The project aims to enhance the attractiveness of the destination by offering improved visitor experiences and contributing to the further development of local tourism.
