On Sunday morning, the bomb will be removed at the Deep at Radovljica.

A 250-kilogram American-made aircraft bomb was discovered by workers of a water management company under a railway bridge in Globoko, Radovljica, during riverbed maintenance work on Thursday. The National Unit for Demining (NUS) will deactivate and remove the bomb on Sunday morning starting at 7 AM, with the operation expected to last until around 1 PM. Authorities have coordinated with all relevant services and will partially close airspace, including Ljubljana Airport, and suspend train traffic during the operation. Residents are being urged not to approach the area out of curiosity and to follow instructions provided by the municipality. The bomb has two mechanical fuses, neither of which is armored, but the front fuse is damaged. The NUS plans to transport the bomb across the Sava River to a prepared containment area to better control any potential blast and reduce the evacuation zone from 1200 meters to 400 meters. Civil protection units will manage safety measures, including evacuations within a 400-meter radius and restricted access between 400 and 600 meters. Emergency sirens will not be activated to avoid causing panic among nearby residents.
