A new prison in Maribor, works to last until January 2027

In Maribor, a section of Prisojna Street will be closed starting September 2 due to the construction of a new gas pipeline. The closure will occur in two phases: the first phase will block the area from Meljski Dol to Prisojna Street 43, while the second phase will close from Prisojna Street 43 to Trdinova Street. The road closure is expected to last until mid-January 2027. During this time, alternative traffic routes will be established, and residents will be informed of any changes to traffic regulations as the construction progresses. Nigrad, operating under the Maribor Public Holding Company, has asked drivers to follow traffic signals and requested understanding and patience during the construction period.

A closed driving lane at the pit stop, also represented elsewhere in Slovenia

A traffic accident on the Styrian motorway between Slovenske Konjice and Ljubljana has caused a complete closure of one lane, leading to traffic jams. Additional closures and changes in traffic flow are reported on several other roads across Slovenia, including the Lower Carniola motorway, the Primorska motorway, and various regional roads. Construction work on the Lower Carniola motorway will further restrict access at the Ivančna Gorica junction starting September 2nd. The Vipava Expressway has also seen changes in traffic direction and partial closures. Some road sections, such as Zagorje–Most čez Savo and Lokve–Čepovan, remain fully closed until late September.
