In Srebrenica, on July 11th, the 31st anniversary of the genocide committed by Bosnian Serb military and police forces against Bosniaks in 1995 will be commemorated. During this event, the remains of ten additional victims, whose partial skeletal remains were found in mass graves across eastern Bosnia between 1997 and 2022, will be buried at the memorial complex in Potocari. The Institute for Missing Persons in Bosnia and Herzegovina (INO) reported that families gave consent for these burials. Among those to be laid to rest is Senad Jusić, who was 20 years old at the time of the attack, and Mustafa Dautović, who was 56. Bosnian Serb authorities attempted to conceal evidence of the genocide by conducting cover-ups and relocating mass graves after the massacre, which resulted in over 8,000 Bosniak deaths. Forensic teams have discovered remains of individuals in multiple distant mass graves.
