Monaco explosion: Ukrainian oligarch and his wife in critical condition

A powerful explosion occurred in a residential building in Monaco near the French border on Monday evening, June 29, injuring at least three people, including two adults aged 50–60 and a 13-year-old boy. The injured individuals are members of an Ukrainian family, with the adult pair suffering severe injuries that threaten their lives. The 13-year-old is in moderate condition. The victims were hospitalized in Nice, with the adults at the Pasteur Hospital and the teenager at the Lenviel Children’s Hospital. According to sources from Ukraine’s business circles, one of the injured is Vadim Yermolaev, a well-known Dnipro businessman and founder of the trade-production corporation 'Alef'. The incident has raised concerns about potential targeting of Ukrainians in Monaco, with authorities considering it possibly a terrorist act. The explosive device was reportedly filled with bolts and metal shrapnel to increase impact.
