TVS Training, SIPCOT host Net Zero Sustainability Expo to accelerate ESG adoption

TVS Training and Services Limited, in collaboration with the State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu Limited (SIPCOT), opened the Net Zero Sustainability Expo 2026 on Friday at the Chennai Trade Centre. The event aims to promote environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices among businesses and provide a platform for startups to display cutting-edge technologies and products related to sustainability. The expo, which runs over two days, brings together industry leaders, government officials, and experts to address challenges in transitioning toward a low-carbon economy. The inauguration took place in the presence of Chennai Collector S. Malathi Helen, who emphasized the rising trend of adopting renewable energy in the region. She highlighted that an increasing number of households in Chennai are turning to rooftop solar installations, encouraging residents to follow suit. Additionally, she underscored the need for improved solid waste management, urging citizens to adopt waste segregation at the source. Although progress has been made in this area, she pointed out that universal compliance remains a challenge.
