Türkiye’s exports rise 2.9 percent to $25.6 billion in July

Turkey's exports increased by 2.9% year-on-year to $25.62 billion in July, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) and the Trade Ministry. Imports rose more sharply at 5.1%, reaching $32.97 billion, leading to a wider foreign trade deficit of $7.34 billion, a 13.6% increase from the previous year. The export-to-import coverage ratio dropped to 77.7% from 79.4% in July 2025. Excluding energy products and non-monetary gold, exports still grew 3.1% to $23.79 billion, while imports increased 3.6% to $26.19 billion, resulting in a smaller deficit of $2.41 billion. Manufacturing products accounted for 94.4% of total exports, with high-tech products contributing 4.4%. Germany remained Turkey's largest export market, while China was the top importer. Energy imports rose 13.1% to $5.83 billion in July, driven primarily by crude oil purchases.
