Three earthquakes have shaken BiH, with the strongest one measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale

The tremors were felt in Sarajevo, with their epicenters located approximately 30 kilometers away from the city. The first quake was recorded at 12:45 AM local time, measuring a magnitude of 3.6 on the Richter scale. Its epicenter was near Foca, roughly 32 kilometers from Sarajevo. Fifteen minutes later, a second tremor was registered, this time closer to Gorazde, again around 30 kilometers from Sarajevo. It measured 3.1 on the Richter scale. A third earthquake occurred around 3:00 AM, registering a magnitude of 3.3, with its epicenter near Sokolac, once more within the same 30-kilometer radius of Sarajevo. Residents in Sarajevo reported feeling all three quakes. Comments posted on the EMSC website largely came from the capital, where the effects of each tremor were described as brief yet intense. Some residents noted that dishes and glassware rattled, while others described a noticeable shaking of furniture. The second tremor was described as weaker and shorter than the first, though some still found it uncomfortable. The third quake, although slightly less powerful than the first, was also felt by many, with reports of cupboards and furniture trembling. Others expressed concern over the series of quakes occurring throughout the night. The first quake, which was the strongest, had its focus at a depth of ten kilometers. The second, slightly weaker, was recorded at a depth of nine kilometers. The third, with a magnitude of 3.3, had its focus six kilometers below the surface. According to available information, there have been no reports of injuries or property damage resulting from these events. The quakes, while unsettling for residents, did not cause widespread disruption or structural issues. Local authorities have not issued any alerts or statements regarding the quakes.
