Tough words in the NSRS: Cvijanović told Vukanović that she was "a great ignoramus", he responded with accusations of treason and demolition of the church

During a special session of the Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, heated debate erupted between Nebojša Vukanović (List za Pravdu i Red), Srđan Mazalice (SNSD), and Željko Cvijanović regarding the confirmation of a veto by BiH Presidency member Željko Cvijanović against a decision by Denis Bećirović on the appointment of members of the Commission for the Preservation of National Monuments of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The discussion extended beyond the veto to include criticism of the BiH Presidency’s work, the Southern Interconnector project, budget allocation for BiH institutions, cultural heritage protection, and political relations in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Vukanović accused Cvijanović and Milorad Dodik of strategically linking Bosnia and Herzegovina to Croatia through the Southern Interconnector, arguing this undermines Serbian national interests. He also criticized the increased budget for BiH institutions, claiming it strengthens entities his administration has previously opposed. Additionally, he accused the authorities of failing to make positive progress for citizens over four years and warned against entanglement in geopolitical conflicts between major powers.
