Tudi za SDS to ni prva afera spolne narave, povezana z mladoletnimi osebami. Leta 2024 se je zaradi dogovarjanja za seks z mladoletnikom pod drobnogledom znašel župan Dornave Matej Zorko, tudi iz vrst SDS. Tožilstvo je sicer zaradi pomanjkljive zakonodaje ovadbo zoper župana zavrglo, a je Zorko ključno vlogo v tej zadevi. Škvarčeva situacija zdaj ponovno postaja v centru pozornosti, zlasti zaradi možnosti, da bo vplivala na njegovo politično kariero in povratne odnose z javnostjo.
